Russia: Glencore is strengthening its presence on the Russian market. On February 15, the international grain company, Glencore, announced the acquisition of two grain elevators, ProAgro informed. At the beginning of 2005 Glencore started actively acquiring Russian agricultural enterprises. One elevator is to be purchased in the Kursk region with a capacity of 107 thousand tonnes and another in Krasnodar with a capacity of 50 thousand tonnes. The value of the deal has not been disclosed yet.
