EU: Barley exports far behind last year’s numbers

EU barley exports are far behind last year’s numbers. Shipments in July – October were 2.4 mln tonnes vs. 4.1 mln tonnes last year, H. M. Gauger GmbH said in their November report.

Saudi Arabia took 1.0 vs. 0.5 mln tonnes last year, but China only imported 0.3 vs. 1.7 mln tonnes.

EU barley imports were 670 thousand tonnes, of which 370 thousand from the UK.
