EU: EU malt exports slightly down in July-February 2021/22

As per Taxud, EU malt exports in July 2021 - February 2022 were 1.915 mln vs. 2.05 mln tonnes last year, H. M. Gauger GmbH said in their March report.

The largest customer was Brazil, however, with 186 vs. 325 thousand tonnes last year. Reports are that Australia, Russia, and Ukraine replaced EU deliveries during this campaign.

Other destinations for EU malt were Nigeria with 131 thousand tonnes, Japan with 120 thousand, Mexico with 98 thousand, and South Africa with 82 thousand tonnes.
