EU: Malt exports in July-January below volume shipped over the same period last season

EU malt exports from July 2021 till January 24, 2022 were 1.58 mln tonnes in grain equivalent vs. 1.7 mln tonnes a year ago, H. M. Gauger GmbH said in their February report.

Shipments were equal to last year’s till end December, the January figure is incomplete, French exports are unreported.

Largest destinations were (all in 1000 tonnes): Brazil 129, Nigeria 123, Japan 94, Cameroon 75 and Mexico 74.
