Brewing news Singapore: Fraser and Neave names a new CEO from February 1

Beverage and publishing group Fraser and Neave (F&N) has named Hui Choon Kit as its chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from February 1, the Business Times reported.

Hui, 57, will focus on accelerating the execution of the growth strategy of the group's businesses and investments, F&N said in a bourse filing on Monday (Jan 31).

Before his latest appointment, Hui was the group's chief financial officer and company secretary.

He joined F&N more than 2 decades ago and has held senior leadership positions in corporate planning and business development, corporate communications and special projects, group finance, and the corporate secretariat departments.

The group also announced on January 31 that Lee Meng Tat is retiring as CEO, non-alcoholic beverages, after having served in the role for nearly 7 years.

Lee, 59, has been overseeing the non-alcoholic beverages business, which has operations and investments in Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
