Barley news World: Analysts expect turbulent malting barley prices in the coming months

The first days of 2022 are showing a rather mixed trade pattern for malting barley prices, varying between regions, RMI Analytics said in their first report of this year.

Weakness is appearing in Argentina and Australia values due to the recent harvests in those regions.

North of the Equator, prices remain very well-supported as the tight barley situation is firmly established.

Given the overall supply situation, expectations for the coming months are for turbulent market prices as the trade tries to stretch the available supply through to new crop harvest. Crop changeover will be tight, the analysts said.
