EU: Malting barley sold out on paper, market impression is worse
EU’s malting barley exports to third countries to-date are estimated at half a million tonnes. Therefore on paper EU malting barley is sold out, the market impression is worse, the EU is short, H. M. Gauger GmbH analysts said in their latest report.
Further shipments of French malting barley to China and Latin America are in the books, apparently also the sale of two cargoes Danish malting barley sold to North America.
China, Canada and the U.S. have a large open demand, there is the “threat“ of further EU export business.
