World: January-July beer production declines in China, Germany, US, and Ukraine
China’s July output was 40.7 mln hl, January-July production reached 212 mln hl – 8.6% less than over the same period last year, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in September.
In Germany, July beer production dropped by 4.4%, the total for January-July declined by 6.2%.
Ukraine’s January-July output reached 11.1 mln hl, minus 1.4%. The malt production was 186 thousand tonnes, 11% down y/y.
In the US, domestic tax-paid beer output in July reached 15.1 mln beer barrels, plus 1.9% y/y. In January-July, production totalled 97.7 mln barrels, minus 0.7%. Beer imports in January-June was 16.2 mln barrels, minus 15.1% y/y.
