Australia: Lion Australia forced to temporarily shut down production after a cyber attack on its website
One of Australias largest breweries has been forced to temporarily shut down production after a cyber attack on its website, 7NEWS.com.au reported on June 10.
Lion Australia, which produces Hahn, Tooheys, XXXX Gold and West End among other beverages, was subject to a cyber incident on June 9.
The company has shut down its IT systems in response to the attack while it investigates.
Lion says suppliers and customers will experience some disruption due to the incident.
Were working with expert advisors to address the issue, Lion said in a statement.
We have alerted the authorities and are working hard to minimise disruption to customers and suppliers.
We will provide further updates when we can and we thank our customers and suppliers for their patience.
Every one of Lions breweries across the country has halted its production lines, but the company has told 7NEWS there is currently enough beer to satisfy demand.
