Germany: Holsten-Brauerei AG announced on November 12 2004 it had chosen the Hamburg agency Scholz & Friends to handle the advertising for its five main brands. As from 1 January, this agency will receive the classic advertising accounts for the Carlsberg, Holsten, Duckstein, Lübzer and Feldschlösschen brands. The other brands in Holsten’s portfolio will remain with their former agencies.
Concentration of the main brands in the hands of one agency is a new departure in the marketing arrangements of the Holsten Group, which was acquired by the internationally active company Carlsberg Breweries in April.
