USA, ND: Phat Fish Brewing Company now open in Dickinson

Dickinson is expanding its brewing scene. Phat Fish Brewing Company, a new brewery and pizzeria is now open in Dickinson, KFYR-TV reported on July 5.

There are four partners, a couple who moved from Montana and a couple from Dickinson. Melissa Scharf said she left her job in Montana and moved to Dickinson to fulfil this goal.

It began a lifetime membership program, called Mug Club, it provides guests with discounts and sold out the first five weeks. She says many breweries in Montana have similar promotions.

"When we think of a brewery, we think of people coming in and just hanging out and playing games, food, people visiting, we have a biog patio area outside where we have games people can play in the yard out there, we really just want it to be a low key and relaxed place where people can come and enjoy their time," said Scharf.

The company says it's excited to bring something unique to Dickinson and still has open positions. Owners say the environment is family friendly, and there's a room for children.
