EU: Barley exports down 23% in 2018/19

European Union soft wheat exports for the 2018/19 season that started last July had reached 20.0 million tonnes by June 23, down 4pc versus a year earlier, European Commission data showed on June 24.

EU 2018/19 barley exports had fallen 23pc to 4.3 million tonnes compared with the same period a year ago.

EU 2018/19 maize imports were at 23.25 million tonnes, up 34pc versus a year ago.
