Brewing news USA, WI: Good City Brewing opens in Kilbourn Town, Milwaukee

A new brewery has opened at 333 W. Juneau Ave. in Kilbourn Town, Milwaukee: the fresh arrival is called Good City Brewing, Hoodline reported on February 27.

The downtown spot is the second location for the brewery to open in Wisconsin. Good City Brewing seats 200 people in the first-floor taproom while the outdoor patio seats 360 people on the second floor. Choose from a menu of various food options and beers on tap. Pair the beer with a brat burger, made of Miesfelds of Shebaygan’s brat patty with cheddar cheese, spicy beer mustard and a sport pepper relish.

Good City Brewing Downtown has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Jenny B., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on Feb. 9, wrote, "So happy they opened a location downtown! This is the perfect place to stop at before a Buck's game or really whenever. They have so many more beer options than the Farwell location."

Yelper Marissa M. added, "My co-workers and I came on opening weekend and we were very satisfied with the place. The food was great! We shared pizza, a pretzel roll and macaroni and cheese — it was all very good. It had great beer, per usual."

Good City Brewing Downtown is open from 4 p.m.–midnight on Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 2–10 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
