Brazil: Beer sales by value increase last year despite lower volume
Brazils beer sales dropped by 1.7% in volume terms but increased by 1.6% by value in 2017, the Diario Penedense reported on April 26 citing a recent report by Nielsen.
Sales in money terms grew owing to an increase in consumption of craft and premium beers, the analysts said.
The nations Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Supply said earlier this year that the number of breweries in the country was up 37.7% last year.
