Australia: First barley harvest cuts look promising

Australia’s barley harvest is getting slowly into full swing, first cuts are promising, and crop size is growing again, GrainCom reported on November 3.

The analysts said they have raised their estimate to 8.5 mln tonnes.

Farmer selling remains focused on feed, not a lot of malting barley offers (Malt 1) around. It is interesting to note that the variety Planet seems to become a popular variety in Australia as well.
