EU: Old crop malting barley virtually sold out

Old crop malting barley is virtually sold out in all EU countries except Denmark, industry sources report.

According to H. M. Gauger GmbH analysts, most likely the industry and trade have covered most of their needs, there are rumours about small shortages, e.g. in England.

New crop prices are firmer than a month ago, the question is whether we just experience a typical spring weather market or whether this time the damage could be serious.
