World: Malt markets active and profitable in the EU, Americas last year
Malt markets were very active and profitable last year in the European Union, North and South America, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier this month.
Eastern European markets suffer from small beer sales, Australia and China were affected by the poor quality crop in Australia. This year it is the other way around, the analysts said. The very large and excellent quality crop in Australia and the firm Europe-Asia container freight market offer a great advantage to Australian and Chinese maltsters in all Asian markets.
