Ukraine: In February 2004 beer imports of Ukraine increased by 21.8% or with 461.87 thousand litres versus January 2004 up to 2,581.17 thousand litres (US$ 0.78 million), according to State statistics committee. Beer was imported mainly from Russia, 99.6% of all import volumes or 2,569.68 thousand litres. Versus February 2003 beer imports of Ukraine increased by 263.3% in February 2004 up to 4.7 million litres. In 2003 country’s imports increase by 143.4% or with 27.7 million litres versus 2002 up to 46.93 million litres of beer.
