Brewing news UK: Anheuser-Busch Europe changes its UK sales team

Anheuser-Busch Europe (A-B) has announced big changes to its UK sales force, including Alistair Kemp's promotion to UK sales director, The Grocer Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge reported February 19.

He takes over the top sales role for brands such as Budweiser, Michelob and Bud Ice from Andrew Nethercott, who has chosen to leave the company to move closer to his family.

Kemp joined the company as director of sales - off-premise retail last year. Prior to that he worked at Coors Brewers, where he held senior sales jobs.

His move has prompted a reshuffle of A-B's senior sales team in Britain. John Bradbury has been promoted to director of sales - off-premise retail from his previous role as director of sales - field. That post is now filled by Steve Hodson from the company's cash and carry sector.

"These individuals will play an integral part in the success of Anheuser-Busch in the UK," said David Dryden, managing director, UK and Ireland, Anheuser-Busch Europe. "Their leadership will position the company well for the future."
