USA: Molson Coors names Dan A. Lewis as global chief public affairs officer
Molson Coors Brewing Company, one of the largest global brewers with leading brands in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and emerging markets around the world, named Dan A. Lewis as Global Chief Public Affairs Officer to lead its external communications, employee engagement, and corporate reputation strategy across the enterprise, according to company’s press release, February 5.
"We are fortunate to have attracted someone of Dan’s caliber and experience to this key position," said Samuel D. Walker, Molson Coors Global Chief Legal Officer. "Dan brings an exceptional background in media relations, internal communications, and global brand expertise to our business at time when we are poised for the next level of growth around the world."
Lewis, a 25-year veteran of the public relations industry, most recently served as vice president and head of communications for Delta Air Lines, where he helped steer the company through a major financial and cultural transformation, and directed campaigns to re-vitalize its brands in the U.S. and international markets.
"Molson Coors is a strong company with more than 40 great brands worldwide, highly-motivated people and a very effective leadership team," according to Lewis. "We have all the right ingredients to grow and become even more competitive in the global beer industry."
Prior to Delta, Lewis headed international public relations for Lufthansa German Airlines, and was based in both New York City and in Frankfurt, Germany. He is fluent in German and holds a master of communication degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
