India: SABMILLER to focus on Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh as part of its growth plans

SABMiller, following its acquisition of Shaw Wallace, will focus on the Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh markets as part of its growth plans, India Business Insight Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge released August 25.

Talks are in progress between the company and United Breweries Ltd in Tamil Nadu for the takeover of Empee Breweries in Chennai. The company also plans to apply to the Government of Tamil Nadu for a greenfield brewery licence in the State.
