USA: Barley food “Reduces the risk oh heart disease”
The Food and Drug Administration has validated on May 19 2006 a rule according to which producers of food containing barley are allowed to label on their products the nutritional allegation “Reduces the risk of heart disease”, M&Bnews communicated June 06.
This option is enabled only to food products containing not less than 0.75g of soluble fibre per portion (flour, barley).
