USA, ND: New brewery being launched by six families in Jamestown
An idea shared among six families has led to the start of a brewery in Jamestown, NewsDakota.com reported on September 7.
Christian Cary, one of the founders of the new Drift Prairie Brewing Company, says things started picking up more than a year and a half ago.
Cary says the search included finding a building and equipment, which has started to come together when the group purchased the Jamestown Sun building.
Nick Bruns and his wife are also founders of the new brewery. He joined the venture when it came to finding a space to fill.
Bruns added now that they have the space, the group is discovering different things that need to be done before theyre ready to start brewing and operating.
He pointed out that theyre also hoping to make the brewery into a community meeting space, discussing food options and other drink options, but also making it a spot people can gather and converse or meet.
Bruns says having the mix of families involved allows for them to specialize in food with Emma Kleingartner, formerly with Emma Rosies Home Cooking, and brew master Anton Goss focused on creating different brews.
Cary added hes excited about the possible partnerships that may come out of opening the brewery in Jamestown.
While the brewery continues to take shape, the group is hopeful for a January 2023 opening, but says that is contingent on supplies, equipment, inspections, and any unforeseen instances.
