World: May trade in malt slow, brewers havent covered more than 40% of their malt demand yet
Malt trade in May was slow, domestic EU brewers have still not covered more than 20 - 40% (regional differences) of their malt demand for 2022. They were encouraged to wait for lower prices by improved crop conditions in Europe and lower world grain markets, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in June.
Malt exports continue at a surprising pace, the Brazilian demand seems almost insatiable, but other Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia are also ordering good quantities.
