Turkey: Anadolu Efes first-half net profit up 36% year-on-year
Turkish beer and malt producer Anadolu Efes said its net profit rose to 382.3 million lira ($52.1 million/44 million euro) in the first half of 2020, up 36% year-on-year.
The company's total revenue increased by 5% on the year to 11.6 billion lira in the period under review, it said in an interim financial statement on August 12.
Cost of sales increased to 7.5 billion lira in the six months through June, from 7 billion lira in the first half of 2019.
Anadolu Efes, established in 1969, produces and markets beer, malt and Coca-Cola products. The company is part of Turkish conglomerate Anadolu Group Holding.
