Ukraine: Beer, malt output decline in 2019
Ukraines beer output (excluding that of zero-alcohol beers) totalled 18.02 mln hl last year, 0.4% down from 2018, Ukrpivo trade association reported on January 16.
In 2018, beer production increased by 2.5%.
The nations malt output also decreased by 0.7% to 339,041 tonnes.
Earlier, head of Carlsberg Ukraine Evgeny Shevchenko said that the nations brewers saw an increase in their sales during the first ten months of the year and expressed hope that the market could return to growth in 2019 after a decade of decrease.
