India: United Breweries announces 37% increase in net profit
United Breweries (Holdings) Limited has announced a 37 percent increase in net profit at Rs12.69 crore for the quarter to Dec 2006, India Business Insight reported April 26.
Its sales grew by 49 percent to Rs203.78 crore, operating profit, by 41 percent to Rs27.30 crore and profit before depreciation and tax, by 55 percent to Rs26.03 crore.
The company's equity capital was at Rs21.60 crore, share price as on 5 Feb 2007, Rs210 and price earnings ratio, 92.10. Its 52-week high/low was Rs220/80.
