Hop Vacuum Packed TYPE 90 Hop PELLETS
(Hops milled/ground into powder and then pelletised) The most popular varieties are also stocked as Type 90 pellets. Sealed in foil packs, these are used in the boil for bittering or late on for aroma. They must be used in conjunction with a whirlpool or enhanced filtering system.

Note 1: As the alpha acid deteriorates other oxidised compounds from within the hops will produce bitter flavours to replace most of it but the essential oils (for aroma) and general freshness of the hops will be lost.

Note 2: The information given is intended only as a guide, hop varieties will give varying flavours in beer when used with different raw materials.
