Argentina: Barley harvest basically finished with average good quality

Australia exported very big shipments of barley between late November and early January as most shippers from Australia and importers in China have been trying to win the race against the clock in order to avoid possible import restrictions in China, GrainCom reported on January 18.

Stocks of malting barley are growing in China at the moment, and consequently there is no new demand for the short/medium term.

On the flip side the GrainCom analysts see demand from different Asian and Latin American customers for barley deliveries in Q3, 2019.
