Russia: Iran introduces ban on barley and other grain imports from Russia
Iran has banned grain imports from Russia because of bird flu. This fact already caused refusal of several vessels with Russian barley. This situation may lead to increased demand for Ukrainian barley and support prices.
Besides, the question concerning future imports of Russian grain by countries usually purchasing grains from Russia, is still open. It is hard to tell whether Irans measures will cause a chain reaction among other barley importers, analysts believe.
