Canada, ON: GL Heritage Brewing opens its doors in Amherstburg
A new family-owned brewery has opened its doors in Amherstburg, a town south of Windsor in Ontarios Essex County, Canadian Beer News reported on July 17.
GL Heritage Brewing has been founded by brothers Greg and Dwayne Grondin, and their wives, Jen and Cathy.
Located at 8728 Howard Ave. on a farm that has been owned and run by the Grondin family for 150 years, the brewery takes its name from GL Heritage Motors, a local business now known as Heritage Tire that Greg and Dwaynes father Don Grondin co-founded with Paul Lepine.
The brewery opened to the public on July 16th with a selection of beers including Blonde Ale, California Common, Rye Ale, and Chocolate Stout available in the taproom and retail store.
